Medium red. A step up in sappiness on the nose from the preceding samples, with notes of mint and orange zest lifting the aromas of cherry, raspberry and red licorice. Lush, suave and intense on the palate, with excellent inner-mouth tension to the red berry, mineral and spice flavors. Lovely fruit and energy here. The slowly mounting finish features thoroughly integrated tannins and very good focus for the year. A superb showing.
